Due to "the ultimate in magic" phrase and that golems can be warrior, dervish, or elementalists in the game already, I'm guessing his profession will be what Razah's was meant to be *and should be changed to*. All of them.
ANet better give a FREE alternative additional hero for those who already own all 4 games, because not only is that only offered in Europe, but it's a kick in the nuts to veteran players like everyone has said. They may add him to the in-game store for those who don't want to buy the whole game set, but for those who have actually payed their fair share, they should get something free, even if it is just Razah being turned into a Variable profession.
*Wouldn't mind seeing Master of Whispers being turned into a Ritualist to replace Razah if he gets turned into a variable profession.*

So a Ritualist, right?
Then again, it most likely will be... um... I still go with Ritualist.

I was thinking it might be a variable profession hero as well, hence the phrase "the ultimate in magic, mechanised party protection". I wouldn't say another monk hero (protection) would exactly be "ultimate". Of course, I could be looking too far into this. It could just be ultimate because it's a GOLEM.
Anyway, I see no reason to get all up in arms about it until we know more about the details of the hero. Why would anyone need another hero of a certain profession? Personally, I'll wait for more details, and if it is a variable profession hero, than I will wait a few months for any news on it being sold seperately in the in-game store, and if not, I'll just decide then whether it's worth the money to buy the package.

I would have rather seen a female El hero added... Doubt I'd buy it mostly because if I need a mule or another PC I can buy a slot real cheap.

I sincerely hope that ANET wouldn't be stupid enough to make the only way of obtaining "M.O.X" by buying the ultimate collection.
But this is ANET...

Why are they adding another hero, bringing the total to 26, and still limiting us to three at a time?
I don't understand.
(By the way, it would be neat if they added a Chronomancer hero, who could use some of the skills that the Chronomancer was going to have before Utopia was scrapped in favor of Eye of the Grind. But letting us use a full hero party is more important by far.)

I'll /sign for that. And if ANet says the Chronomancer will be in GW2, which I doubt, it would serve as a fun "preview" to it.
I actually can see Chronomancer being an Asura-only profession due to the whole techno-look they had. None-the-less, /sign for Chronomancer hero, /sign for variable profession hero, /sign for removal of hero limit (or more then 3 heroes).

To be honest, M.O.X sounds like it might be a golem. And you will be able to set them to melee, ranged, or defence.

As said before I do hope they do give this to their loyal players who already have all four games for free. If not I will seriously consider not getting Guild Wars 2. They already have done questionable business practices such as releasing unfinished product and declaring "bugs" "features". Things like the lack of DoA when Nightfall was released, or the inability to max your titles. Razah, our multi-profession ritualist. Or taking it back even further Urgoz and the Deep not being in with Factions release. However, on the flip side of things Anet has given us some nice stuff. More storage, character choosing without logging out, adding new items to the game from time to time, weekend events, are just a few.
It is not so much I want the hero, and am not saying it is fair or not, but more of the principle. Rewarding new players to come to the game without rewarding your current player base for sticking with the game seems like a slap to the face. That is of course if they want to build up consumer loyalty. I mean who wants customers who would rush out to the stores to buy a game the first day without reading the reviews picking the game's flaws apart and ultimately deciding against it before even trying? (Because this is what I have been forced to do as of late due to the shady practices of companies rushing their games out of the door in a pre-beta stage and expecting their customers to stick around and test it for them while they pray they can fix the issues and actually get the game to run on the computer in a reasonable state)

Same; it's not as if I need another hero anyways. But I suppose it would be nice to have this new one.

it would be easier if they made a quest for obtaining one thought all 4 campaigns like the moa chick... why would I buy another ele hero when I already have 3... to put it on my 4th slot?

Golems are know for being able to change their profession (Oolas Golem 2.0)
Paragon is not out of question either (description would fit well.). And if profession is not variable, i don't see it being anything else than D / A / Rt /P / Me which miss third hero.
Anyhow, they'd better provide way to get it in ingame store. If anything, just out of principle as not to hurt feelings of veterans, and to prevent guaranteed whines.
One thing was to buy next campaign to get BMP. Another thing is to basically buy whole game over again.
